Cookie Notice.
This Cookie Notice explains how AxEazy (“we”, “us”) uses cookies and browser storage on https://axeazy.com. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
What we mean by “cookies”
Throughout this notice we use the word “cookies” to cover both true HTTP cookies and other forms of browser-side storage like localStorage and sessionStorage. US state privacy laws apply to those the same way they apply to traditional cookies.
The four categories we use
- Strictly necessary. Required for the site to work at all — your auth session and the record of your consent choice. We do not ask permission for these because they are not optional under any privacy law.
- Functional. First-party identifiers that let us understand which pages led to which signups. No cross-site tracking, no advertising. Off by default.
- Analytics. Reserved category. We do not currently use any third-party analytics service (no Google Analytics, no Mixpanel, no Amplitude). If we ever add one we will update this notice and your existing choice will apply.
- Marketing. Reserved category. We do not currently use any advertising or remarketing pixel, and we have no plans to. We list the category anyway so the choice you make is honest and stable.
How to change your preferences
On your first visit to any page we show a consent banner. You can choose Accept all, Reject non-essential, or Customize to pick the categories individually. Your choice is recorded in your browser and respected on every page until you change it or 12 months pass, whichever comes first.
You can revisit the choice any time using the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer of every page, or this button:
Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends the W3C Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal — supported by Firefox, Brave, DuckDuckGo, Privacy Badger and others — we treat that as an opt-out of Functional, Analytics, and Marketing storage at the moment of your first page view. We do this without asking. This is consistent with the California Attorney General's enforcement position (the Sephora consent decree, August 2022) and with the equivalent state-level opt-out signal recognition under Colorado's CPA, Connecticut's CTDPA, Oregon's OCPA, and Texas's TDPSA.
What we store today
| Name | Category | Where | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| sb-* (Supabase auth cookies) | Strictly necessary | Cookie | Keeps you signed in to your account and secures your session. Cleared when you sign out. | Session / up to 7 days |
| axeazy.consent.v1 | Strictly necessary | localStorage | Records your cookie preference choice and the time it was made. Without this record we would have to show the banner on every page load. | 12 months, until you withdraw consent |
| axeazy.marketing.session | Functional | localStorage | An opaque random ID we use to attribute pricing-page interactions to a later signup. Not shared with third parties and not usable for cross-site tracking. Only written if you grant Functional consent. (Migrated from the prior `accessshield.marketing.session` key for any returning visitor.) | Until cleared by your browser or by you |
What we do not store
- No advertising cookies. Not Google Ads, not Meta Pixel, not LinkedIn Insight, not anything else.
- No third-party analytics. Not Google Analytics, not Mixpanel, not Segment, not Amplitude, not Plausible, not Fathom.
- No social-media tracking. No Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn or TikTok pixels.
- No cross-site profile. Our session id is an opaque random number scoped to
axeazy.comonly. - No sale or sharing of personal information, as those terms are defined by California CCPA/CPRA and the equivalent laws of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Tennessee, Iowa, Indiana, Montana, Delaware, New Jersey, and New Hampshire.
Your rights under US state laws
Depending on which state you reside in, you have some combination of the following rights with respect to the data described above and in our Privacy Policy. We honor them regardless of which state you're in — we do not condition access on residency:
- Right to know / access what we have collected about you.
- Right to correct inaccuracies in that data.
- Right to delete your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements.
- Right to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” — we do not sell or share, so this right is satisfied by default.
- Right to opt out of targeted advertising and profiling — we do neither, so satisfied by default.
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of the above.
- Right to appeal a refusal to act on a request (Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Tennessee, Iowa, Indiana, Montana, Delaware, New Jersey, New Hampshire).
To exercise any of these rights, follow the data request flow in our Privacy Policy, email contact@axeazy.com with subject line “Data Request” from your registered email, or use our Termly DSAR form linked from the Privacy Policy. We respond within 30 days (California, Texas) or 45 days (other states, as permitted).
Withdrawing consent
If you previously accepted optional categories and want to withdraw, open Cookie preferences from the footer, toggle Functional off, and click Save preferences. When you save a deny choice we delete the stored session ID on the same tab. You do not need to email us or wait — the change is effective immediately, client-side.
How to block cookies in your browser
Most browsers let you remove or reject cookies via Settings. Because the Supabase auth cookie is strictly necessary, blocking it will prevent you from signing in. Public pages will continue to work without sign-in. The same applies to the consent record in localStorage — if you block it, you'll see the banner again on every visit.
Changes to this notice
We may update this Cookie Notice from time to time (for example, if we add a new third-party service). The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest revision. For material changes that affect what we collect or how we use it, we also notify users with active accounts by email and reset the consent banner so visitors are re-prompted on their next visit.
