What Axeazy does, and what it doesn't.
The FTC fined an accessibility overlay vendor $1M in January 2025 for overstating what an accessibility tool could do. Read this before you buy.
What we do.
- Scan every page on your domain against axe-core (the same rule library Adobe, Microsoft, and Google use internally), bucketed by impact.
- Auto-fix the six WCAG categories most cited in accessibility audits: alt text, skip nav, language attribute, form labels, link names, button names.
- Document your remediation history with timestamped reports that document your ongoing remediation efforts.
- Monitor weekly. The protection is the Monday-morning email that catches new violations before anyone else does.
- Pro / Agency: color blindness simulation, screen-reader walkthrough, cognitive-load + dyslexia analyzers, auto-generated video captions, and accessibility intelligence by state.
What we don't do.

PDFs
We do not audit or remediate PDF files, whether hosted on your domain, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Box, Issuu, or any third-party. Customer-published PDFs (menus, brochures, forms, statements) are a real ADA plaintiff target. If your business publishes them, use a PDF-specific tool (CommonLook, axesPDF, Adobe Acrobat Pro's accessibility checker) or a human accessibility consultant.
Native mobile apps (iOS, Android)
We scan websites. Mobile apps require platform-specific tooling (Xcode Accessibility Inspector, Android Accessibility Scanner, or Deque axe DevTools for Mobile).
Third-party-hosted content the scanner can't reach
Calendly widgets, Mailchimp embeds, Issuu magazines, YouTube live chats, member portals, intranet pages, and any other cross-origin or authenticated content. The scanner sees the container element but cannot inspect the embedded DOM.
Real-time / runtime accessibility
We are a periodic scanner. We don't run a JS runtime agent that monitors accessibility live as your users interact. If a chat widget injects inaccessible content 10 seconds after page load, our scan may miss it.
Custom complex ARIA widgets
Tree views, custom date pickers, drag-and-drop interfaces, complex carousels, custom data grids: automated tooling detects 30-40% of WCAG criteria. The rest requires a human accessibility professional evaluating actual user experience. We surface findings; we don't certify these widgets as conformant.
Legal advice or compliance certification
Nothing Axeazy generates is legal advice. There is no government "ADA compliant" certification for websites. Tools that promise it have been fined by the FTC. We say "ADA-aligned" or "WCAG-aligned" and so should you.
Anything involving Protected Health Information (HIPAA)
Axeazy is not a HIPAA covered entity or business associate. Do not submit URLs that expose Protected Health Information (PHI) in unauthenticated form, and do not scan patient portals, EHR pages, or other authenticated healthcare surfaces with Axeazy. Pro tier targets healthcare marketing sites only (homepages, service-line landing pages, provider directories, blog content). If your business operates a HIPAA-regulated surface and needs accessibility remediation there, engage a vendor that signs a Business Associate Agreement and use Axeazy strictly for your public-marketing pages.
Scan-coverage limits.
Each tier has caps. Hitting a cap doesn't mean we "missed" the unscanned pages means we didn't look. Communicate honestly to your end users (and your attorney) what was in scope for your last scan.

Automated tools identify approximately 30–40% of all WCAG criteria. This report does not constitute legal advice, guarantee ADA compliance, or protect against legal action.
